Moving on to bigger and better things
A new door opened
in our lives
A new chapter was about to be written
The story was about to change dramatically
Out on our own,
many for the first time
Newfound freedom was exhilarating
But the real reason we were here
Was to be discovered in
due time
There’s a first time for everything
Went places we never thought we’d go
Did things we never
thought we’d do
Became people we couldn’t before fathom
Plenty of learning to be done
We all took
the classes
We all passed the tests
But the most important test is still to come
One day we will all take another
big step
Move out into the “real world”
Where we will take what we learned here
And try and make the
best world we can
But for now we says our so longs
As we head home for the summer
Some will work, others will
travel
Few may just sit at home and be lazy
No matter what you do in the next four months
Remember the person
that this year has made you
And never forget the people who influenced your life
Because you never know if you’ll
find people that great again
